Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a critical treatment option for individuals who require more support than traditional outpatient services, yet do not require the round-the-clock care of a hospital or residential treatment program. IOP is a less restrictive and more flexible approach to mental health recovery, which makes it an attractive option for young adults and adults seeking treatment. Here are three key advantages of attending IOP for mental health recovery:
Intensive outpatient treatment can be a highly effective treatment option for young adults and adults in recovery from mental health conditions. It provides the flexibility to balance treatment with other commitments, comprehensive care tailored to individual needs, and the benefits of peer support. If you or someone you know is struggling with a mental health condition, consider exploring the benefits of IOP as a treatment option.
Corner Canyon Health Centers offers a comprehensive Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which provides clients with highly individualized treatment through group therapy sessions 3-5 times per week, as well as weekly one-on-one sessions with their primary therapist and case manager. Our experienced Certified Case Managers provide personalized support for each client’s life skills and future planning needs, meeting with them on a weekly basis at the IOP level of programming.
The IOP phase of the program emphasizes community re-engagement, with many clients pursuing employment, volunteering, or attending local colleges. Our treatment modalities include evidence-based approaches such as Attachment Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and EMDR, as well as Recreational & Experiential Therapy.
In addition to our treatment modalities, clients may also choose to participate in our comprehensive approaches such as Psychiatric Nutrition, In House Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, In House Vitamin IV Infusions, Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB), Neurofeedback, Hormone Therapy, Pharmacogenetic Testing, DNA Testing, Gut Health Testing, Gut Brain Connection, and Massage Therapy. Our goal is to provide the highest quality care and support to help clients achieve lasting recovery and wellness.
Partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are two types of structured mental health treatment programs, but there are some important differences between the two. Here are some of the major differences between PHP and IOP programming:
Overall, both PHP and IOP are effective treatment options for individuals struggling with mental health issues. The main differences lie in the level of care, structured environment, medical monitoring, intensity of therapy, and length of the program. It is important to work with the Corner Canyon providers to determine which type of program would be the most appropriate for your specific needs.
